Sound Walk
The subway is always full of interesting
sounds. From the child crying in their
stroller, to the man playing his guitar in front of a cup of change, the
underground tunnels are definitely unique.
And when you finally find yourself lulled by the commotion of people
talking on their cell phones or listening to music, the calm is broken by the
rumbling of the train and the clanking of the wheels. The automated voice announces its arrival as
the doors open and the tunnel is once again filled with voices and people. As the train leaves the station, the hiss of
the brakes echoes across the tile walls as the train begins to move. And once again, the station is silent as the
distant cars from the street above continue to drive past.
